On 20 May 2026, Gold Coast Legacy proudly hosted its annual Legacy Ladies Gala Lunch at the Burleigh Bears Rugby Club, welcoming approximately 130 guests for a memorable afternoon of friendship, entertainment and support for the Legacy family.
This year’s event embraced a vibrant 1960s theme, with guests dressing in colourful outfits and enjoying an atmosphere filled with fun, laughter and nostalgia. The luncheon brought together Legacy supporters, beneficiaries, volunteers and members of the wider community to celebrate the important work of Legacy and the families we support.
We were honoured to welcome special guests Angie Bell MP, Ray Stevens MP and Nick Marshall OAM, whose ongoing support of Gold Coast Legacy is greatly appreciated. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion as they joined guests in celebrating the Legacy spirit and the strong connections within our community.
Entertainment was a highlight of the day, with outstanding performances by Tommy Memphis and the Australian Army Band. Their music had the room singing, dancing and thoroughly enjoying the celebration, creating a joyful atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the event.
A particularly meaningful moment was the presentation by Charlotte Stent, one of our beneficiaries, Junior Legatees and an emerging actress. Charlotte shared her personal story and experiences with Gold Coast Legacy, offering guests a heartfelt insight into the lasting impact that community support can have on the lives of young people and families. Her testimony was both inspiring and moving, reminding everyone of the importance of Legacy’s mission.
Gold Coast Legacy extends its sincere thanks to all attendees, sponsors, performers, volunteers and supporters who contributed to the success of this year’s Gala Lunch. Events such as these not only raise awareness of Legacy’s work but also strengthen the bonds of friendship and support that make our organisation so special.
We look forward to welcoming everyone again next year for another wonderful celebration.
