Gold Coast Legacy is proud to receive funding through the Queensland Veterans’ Council’s Anzac Day Trust Fund.
This generous grant will help us continue our commitment to supporting the families of veterans across the Gold Coast community.
Through this funding, Gold Coast Legacy has been awarded $43,500 to support two important initiatives:
The grant supports two key programs:
- The employment of a Welfare Coordinator, providing advocate service, guidance and ongoing support to veteran families.
- Education bursaries for children of veterans, helping young people access educational opportunities and achieve their full potential.
The Welfare Coordinator helps families access services, navigate challenges, and connect with available support networks. They also work closely with families to ensure they receive the assistance they need during difficult times.
In addition, education bursaries help students achieve their educational goals. These bursaries reduce financial pressure on families and provide opportunities for young people to continue their studies and reach their full potential.
How the Funding Will Help
The funding will allow Gold Coast Legacy to expand each services for veteran families across the Gold Coast.
Access to welfare support and educational assistance can make a significant difference to their wellbeing and future opportunities.
Furthermore, this funding strengthens our ability to provide ongoing support to veterans’ families.
It ensures that help is available when it is needed most.
The Welfare Coordinator will continue to provide personalised advices and advocacy for families.
This role is an important part of our commitment to supporting the wellbeing of veteran families in our community.
Supporting the Next Generation
Education plays an important role in creating opportunities for young people.
Through the education bursary program, Gold Coast Legacy can assist students with costs associated with their learning and development.
As a result, students can focus on their education and future goals with fewer financial barriers. These bursaries help create opportunities for growth, achievement, and long-term success.
Gold Coast Legacy remains committed to supporting veterans’ partners and their children through a range of welfare and community programs.
We are grateful for the support that makes these services possible.
