Funding for Essential Kitchen Improvements
Gold Coast Legacy is proud to announce that we have been awarded $17,523 through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (Round 126) to improve our kitchen facilities and enhance the services we provide to veterans’ families and the wider community.
The funding will allow us to purchase essential kitchen equipment. This includes our first oven and dishwasher. These additions will improve the functionality of our facility. These upgrades will help us prepare and serve refreshments more efficiently during meetings, social gatherings, volunteer activities, and community events.
Improving Hygiene and Safety
For many years, our kitchen facilities have been limited, making it difficult to cater for larger groups and maintain the level of convenience expected in a modern community facility. In addition, the new dishwasher will greatly improve hygiene standards by ensuring dishes and utensils can be properly sanitised. Furthermore, the new oven will provide greater flexibility when hosting events and functions.
Supporting Veterans’ families
Gold Coast Legacy supports the families of veterans and provides a welcoming environment where members can connect, participate in activities, and receive ongoing support. The upgraded kitchen will help create a more comfortable and practical space for everyone who visits our centre.
